India's Sikkim state is located in the Eastern Himalaya. It is the second-smallest and least populated state in India. In addition to having alpine and subtropical climates and a reputation for biodiversity, Sikkim is home to the third-highest mountain in the world and India's highest peak, Kangchenjunga. The state is situated in the south between West Bengal, Tibet, Nepal, and Bhutan. The Siliguri Corridor, which borders Bangladesh, is also near Sikkim.
