Udaipur  is a city in the north-western Indian state of Rajasthan, about 415 km (258 mi) south of the state capital Jaipur. It serves as the administrative headquarters of Udaipur district. It is the historic capital of the kingdom of Mewar in the former Rajputana Agency. It was founded in 1559 by Udai Singh II of the Sisodia clan of Rajputs,when he shifted his capital from the city of Chittorgarh to Udaipur after Chittorgarh was besieged by Akbar. It remained as the capital city till 1818 when Mewar became a British princely state, and thereafter the Mewar province became a part of Rajasthan when India gained independence in 1947.It is also known as the City of Lakes, as it is surrounded by five major artificial lakes.The city is located in the southernmost part of Rajasthan, near the Gujarat border. To its west is the Aravali Range, which separates it from the Thar Desert.  Udaipur has a rich cultural heritage from the past e.g. lakes, temples, huge forts, and palaces.Gangaur is a Hindu festival celebrated in the Indian states of Rajasthan, Haryana, Fazilka District of Punjab, the regions of Malwa, Nimar regions (Manawar, Barwani, Khargone, Khandwa) of Madhya Pradesh and the Braj and Bundelkhand regions of Uttar Pradesh. Gangaur is a colourful festival which is one of the most important celebrations of the people of Rajasthan and the Fazilka district of Punjab. It is observed throughout the state with great fervor and devotion by womenfolk who worship the goddess Gauri (Parvati), the consort of Shiva during the Hindu month of Chaitra (March–April)  

Northern India contains the state of Rajasthan. Its overall size is 342,239 square kilometers (132,139 square miles), or 10.4% of India's total land area. In terms of area, it is the biggest Indian state, and in terms of population, it ranks eighth. Along the Sutlej-Indus River valley, it borders the Pakistani provinces of Sindh to the west and Punjab to the northwest. It is located on the northwest side of India, where it includes the majority of the vast and hostile Thar Desert, also referred to as the Great Indian Desert. The Dilwara Temples, a Jain pilgrimage site at Rajasthan's only hill station, Mount Abu, in the ancient Aravalli mountain range and eastern Rajasthan, the ruins of the Indus Valley civilization at Kalibangan and Balathal, and the Keoladeo National Park of Bharatpur, a World Heritage Site renowned for its bird life, are some of its main features. Three national tiger reserves—the Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve in Kota, the Sariska Tiger Reserve in Alwar, and the Ranthambore National Park in Sawai Madhopur—are also located in Rajasthan.Dal-baati-churma is very popular in Rajasthan.  

India's Sikkim state is located in the Eastern Himalaya. It is the second-smallest and least populated state in India. In addition to having alpine and subtropical climates and a reputation for biodiversity, Sikkim is home to the third-highest mountain in the world and India's highest peak, Kangchenjunga. The state is situated in the south between West Bengal, Tibet, Nepal, and Bhutan. The Siliguri Corridor, which borders Bangladesh, is also near Sikkim. The second-smallest and least populated state is Sikkim.English, Nepali, Bhutia, and Lepcha are the state's official languages.least populated Indian state.Sikkim's rugged topography prevented it from having an airport for a long time.After a four-year delay, Pakyong Airport, the state's first airport, which is situated in Pakyong Town and is 30 km (19 mi) from Gangtok, finally opened for business in October 2018.  

The town and hill station of Munnar is situated in the Idukki district of Kerala, a state in southwest India. Munnar is located in the Western Ghats mountain range at an elevation of about 1,600 meters (5,200 feet) above mean sea level. The "Kashmir of South India" is another name for Munnar, which is a well-liked honeymoon spot.
