At an elevation of 1800 meters, Genting Highlands is a hill station situated atop Mount Ulu Kali in the Titiwangsa Mountains in the center of Peninsular Malaysia. It was founded in 1965 by the late Malaysian businessman Lim Goh Tong and is situated in the state of Pahang. Resorts World Genting, a hill resort with casinos and theme parks and legal gambling, is the main tourist destination. This area is home to several of Pahang's skyscrapers.During a 1963 business trip to the Cameron Highlands for a hydroelectric power project, Malaysian entrepreneur Lim Goh Tong was impressed by the fresh air and came up with the idea to build a hill resort close to Kuala Lumpur.One of the seven hotels at Resorts World Genting is a leisure resort. The First World Hotel, one of the seven lodgings, was the largest hotel in the world from 2006 to 2008 and reclaimed the distinction in 2015 with 7,351 rooms after Tower 2A. Genting Grand received a 4-star rating and Maxims received a "recommended" citation from Forbes Travel Guide Star Ratings in 2018.  

Covering 754 square kilometers, Kinabalu Park was designated as a park in 1964 and is now a World Heritage Site.Following a report by the Royal Society Kinabalu Scientific trip in 1962–1964, which was headed by Prof. Corner, the foundation for the creation of a protected area in Kinabalu was established. In the state of Sabah in Malaysian Borneo, it is the first park. The highest mountain between the Himalayas and New Guinea, Mount Kinabalu (4,095.2 m), is its primary feature. There is a diverse range of plant and animal species on its slope. It is a hotspot for plant biodiversity, especially with affinities to plants from the pan-tropical region, China, Australia, the Himalayas, and the Malay Peninsula.  

The Malaysian state of Penang is situated near the Strait of Malacca on Peninsular Malaysia's northwest coast. It is divided into two parts: Seberang Perai on the Malay Peninsula and Penang Island, which is home to George Town, the capital. The Penang Bridge and the Second Penang Bridge serve as the physical links between these two portions. The state is bordered to the south by Perak and to the north and east by Kedah.Compared to the federal government of Malaysia, the Penang state government has fewer authority while having its own legislative and executive branch.The federal government of Penang is in charge of the educational system. Although English and Malay are required courses in all schools, vernacular schools are also allowed to teach in Mandarin or Tamil.  

Situated in Pahang, Malaysia, the Cameron Highlands district spans 712.18 square kilometers (274.97 sq mi). Its border with Kelantan is to the north, and it shares a portion of its border with Perak to the west. Cameron Highlands, located near the northwest edge of Pahang, is roughly 90 kilometers (56 miles) east of Ipoh, 200 kilometers (120 miles) north of Kuala Lumpur, and 355 kilometers (221 miles) from Pahang's capital, Kuantan. In the state, it is the smallest municipality.The climate in the Cameron Highlands is subtropical highland.
