Deosai National Park, known as the Land of Giants, is the second-highest alpine plateau in the world, sitting at an average elevation of 4,114 meters in Pakistan's Gilgit-Baltistan region. It is celebrated for its vast, rolling grasslands, stunning wildflowers, and as a vital sanctuary for the endangered Himalayan Brown Bear.
 

Deosai National Park, located in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, is the world's second-highest plateau (averaging 4,114 meters). Known as the "Land of Giants", it spans 3,000+ square kilometers of rolling alpine plains. It serves as a vital sanctuary for the critically endangered Himalayan brown bear. The name Deosai literally translates to "the Shadow of the Giant" in Urdu, referring to the vast, seemingly endless expanses of untouched beauty framed by distant snow-capped mountains. Located at the western end of the park, this alpine lake sits at 4,250 meters (13,940 ft), making it one of the highest lakes in the world. It is famous for its crystal clear waters and surrounding wildflower meadows.

BY Air : Traveling to Deosai National Park by air requires flying into Skardu Airport (KDU) in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Because Deosai is a remote, high-altitude plateau, the only way to get there by air is to take a domestic flight to Skardu, followed by a 4-hour road journey. an online authorization: You must apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization 48-72 working hours before you travel. You have to apply for the Pakistan ETA on the official Pakistan Visa Portal, in a similar application method as you would apply for an eVisa. 
BY Taxi :  the shortest route is from Skardu city, which is approximately 30 kilometres away. An hour's drive from there will take you all the way to the top of the plains. Another route that is often used is via Chilam in Astore Valley.
