Phobjikha (Gangtey) Valley is a stunning U-shaped glacial valley in central Bhutan. Sitting at an altitude of 3,000 meters, it is famous for its rolling alpine meadows, 17th-century Gangtey Monastery, and its status as the winter home for the endangered black-necked cranes.
 
Phobjikha Valley is a stunning, U-shaped glacial valley in central Bhutan. Sitting at 3,000 meters, it is famous for its sweeping landscapes, the 16th-century Gangtey Monastery, and as the winter sanctuary for the endangered black-necked cranes.  The valley sits at an altitude of approximately 2,900 to 3,000 meters. It features wide, sweeping marshlands, golden dwarf bamboo fields, and is surrounded by dense pine forests and the towering Black Mountains.
You can reach Phobjikha Valley  from different ways like there are direct flights, direct trains as well as direct buses services available for Phobjikha Valley. 
By Air : The only way to reach Phobjikha Valley by air is by flying into Paro International Airport (PBH), Bhutan's sole international hub. From Paro, you must complete the journey via a scenic 5 to 6-hour road trip (approximately 130 km) over the Lawa La pass to the valley. Indian nationals intending to visit Bhutan are required to carry any of the two valid 'Travel Documents' (a) Valid Indian Passport having validity of minimum 6 months; and/or (b) Voter Identity Card, issued by the Election Commission of India. No Visa is required to visit Bhutan.
By Taxi : Getting a private taxi is the most convenient way to reach and explore the remote, eco-sensitive Phobjikha Valley in Bhutan. Because the area is a protected wildlife reserve, local public buses are extremely limited, making private, chauffeur-driven cabs practically essential.
